The final day of November, one month after the grant began, volunteer steward Bob Chinn put in another long day (it was dark when he left the work site) removing invasive weeds and woody brush. He and the trusty DR walk-behind mower make a great pair!
Volunteer steward Bill Rogers puts in his regular daily hours mowing debris cut by volunteers, piling branches and weeds in the clamshell bucket of the John Deere tractor, and carefully burning debris on a brush pile. He works until daylight departs!
John McCrosky wears his safety glasses; PPE is very important – hearing protection, eye protection, and gloves. Most of the restoration work is done with great distance between people, so masks were not worn in these photos - but we are careful to wear them any time we are within talking distance. We are also careful to keep our six foot social distance.
